Remembering Gabriel García Márquez & The radical side of Jesus of Nazareth

In this episode of Breaking the Set, Abby Martin features an interview with Reza Aslan, historian and author of the best-selling book ‘Zealot: the Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth’, discussing how he arrived at the conclusion that Jesus was a revolutionary political leader rather than the peaceful prophet characterized by mainstream culture. Abby then speaks with biologist and animal behavior expert, Carin Bondar, going over some examples of animal sexuality, including detachable penises, finch homosexuality and wild birth control. BTS wraps up the show with a tribute to the late author, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, whose body of work earned him the Nobel Peace Prize for Literature in 1982.
