Abby Martin breaks the set on the war on ISIS, old white rape culture, individual social accountability

On this episode of Breaking the Set, Abby Martin remarks on Obama’s most recent comments on US action in Iraq in light of the growing strength of the extremist group, ISIS. Abby then calls out syndicated American columnist, George Will, for a recent article where he suggests that being a rape victim is a “coveted status.” Abby then speaks with Jordan Phoenix, author of the book, “It’s All My Fault,” about the role of individual responsibility in repairing the problems that plague society. Abby then reports on the state of Colorado officially ending solitary confinement for mentally ill prisoners, and why prolonged isolation is widely regarded as torture, and urges everyone to lend their voice to end the practice. BTS wraps up the show with an interview with journalist and author Will Potter, who discusses his kickstarter campaign to use unmanned drones to bypass federal Ag Gag laws and report on the inhumane conditions found in factory farms across the country.
