OPEC agrees to 1.2 million barrel production cut

OPEC agrees to its first oil output reduction in years, stating that it will it reduce production by 1.2 million barrels per day. Ameera David has the details. Then, Ashlee Banks reports from the Trump Hotel in Washington, DC, as President-elect Donald Trump says that he will remove himself from his 500 businesses in order to avoid conflicts of interest. Afterwards, Marina Portnaya takes a look at what’s in store for US-Cuba relations after Trump tweeted that he may reverse the recent rapprochement between the two countries. Bianca Facchinei then examines a new report claiming that the US may end up forgiving $108 billion in federal student loans.

Following the break, David Henderson of the Hoover Institution and Naval Postgraduate School tells Ameera whether he thinks Cuba will see real economic change now that Fidel Castro has passed. And finally, in The Big Deal, Alex Mihailovich breaks down two pipeline projects just greenlighted by the Canadian government.
