Mafia’s demise, Trump’s libel attacks & IUD dangers

On this episode of America’s Lawyer, guest host Farron Cousins discusses the numerous lawsuits that have been brought against Bayer’s Mirena IUD birth control device and goes through the details of the cases with attorney Larry Jones. Farron then talks to author and historian Christian Cipollini about what led to the decline of the Italian-American mafia. Farron is then joined by Mollye Barrows, a legal journalist for Trial Lawyer Magazine, to discuss President Donald Trump’s threats to ‘open’ up US libel laws. America’s Lawyer wraps up the show by highlighting a $110 million award granted to a woman who claims using Johnson & Johnson’s talcum powder gave her ovarian cancer.
