“Afghani civilians are difficult to determine” – foreign policy analyst

Dozens of civilians were killed after being caught up in U.S.-led air strikes in Afghanistan on Monday. Malou Innocent, a foreign policy analyst at the CATO Institute, spoke about the problem.

According to reports from Afghan officials, heavy fighting broke out after Taliban militants executed three former government employees in the Farah district on Monday.

During a meeting with Afghan and Pakistani Presidents in Washington, Secretary of State Hilary Clinton said the U.S. 'deeply' regretted the loss of innocent lives and promised a full review of the incident.

However, determining who are civilians in Afghanistan is not easy, according to Malou Innocent, foreign policy analyst at the CATO Institute, who spoke with RT prior to the Afghan and Pakistani Presidents' meeting with Barack Obama later on Thursday.
