On the latest episode of Sanchez Effect, renowned Columbia University Professor Jeffrey Sachs has a reality check for Washington. He argues that Iran, with its vast, mountainous territory, large population, advanced missiles and intricate underground tunnels, is no easy target, especially under the tight deadlines set by Trump.

Sachs questions whether the US president, with his hubristic claims about America’s role in the conflict, is either delusional or an outright liar. History has a way of revealing the truth, as evidenced by the Vietnam War, when US officials insisted their military was doing well, before ultimately losing.

We also examine Trump’s machinations for Cuba, which he insists the US can seize. We delve into this topic with RT correspondent Donald Courter, who has just returned from the Caribbean nation. Don’t miss the latest, here on RT!

In this episode of RT’s Sanchez Effect Rick exposes the Israeli government’s anti-Christian sentiments and how US officials are bowing to Israeli lobbyists despite that fact. There’s no better guest to help us do it than former Miss California and current conservative activist Carrie Prejean Boller. She has faced religious and lobbyist pressure herself, with the Trump administration asking her to resign from the religious freedom committee after she questioned the body’s strong pro-Israeli stance. Prejean says she was shocked; asking how standing up against genocide can be anti-Semitic. She describes the officials who shut her down are ‘cowards’ - and that she and other Americans had trusted Trump to change US policies, only to renege on his pledges. Her stance reflects that of many Trump supporters: “I do not know who he is. He promised not to get us involved in foreign wars. And now we’re seeing that we are sending boots on the ground.” Rick and Prejean also discuss a new era in media, where there are genuine alternative voices which cannot be silenced.
In this episode of RT’s Sanchez Effect Rick discusses the Iran war with Trita Parsi, co-founder and executive vice president of the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft. Amid news and speculation about a possible US ground invasion of Iran, Parsi says it would be a disastrous mistake for Trump because right now, he still has the backing of many Americans, with Fox News and legacy media ‘misinformation’ helping him.

However, when US ground troops start dying, he will lose his own base. Also in this episode, a look at the possibility of an off-ramp for Trump, with Rick asking whether his ability to read the room might help the US escape the situation and save the president’s ratings. Trita Parsi discussed how everything depends on which room Trump is reading, with him having a weakness for the Israeli lobby. Catch the full episode on RT International.

As the US-Israeli war against Iran rages on, all signs point towards a looming American ground invasion. In this episode of RT’s Sanchez Effect, Rick talks to Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali. The envoy didn’t hesitate to pour cold water on Donald Trump’s grand claims of military and diplomatic success. According to Jalali, Iranians are eager to meet American soldiers face to face and fight a war like real men, since Washington’s forces currently just firebomb Iran from the air and fly away. Even though the diplomat does not want to see US soldiers die, he said that if they come, many will leave in coffins.

Also in this interview, he told how the American people are the victims of Trump’s terrible decisions and the Israeli lobby’s influence. That’s as the US president has grown desperate in the face of military failure and Tehran’s unwavering position, announcing negotiations that have not even happened, according to Iran. The US-Israeli attack on Iran has created existential problems for American allies in the Gulf and, simultaneously, delivered an unexpected economic bonus to rivals like Russia, which, for now at least, can carry on with exporting oil without the overhang of US sanctions.
‘Trump wants D-Day, he is in a desperate situation and will make a desperate play. But Iran will come out a major winner of this war in the long run.’ – Jiang Xueqin

In this episode of RT’s Sanchez Effect, Rick and his guest talk predictions, the specialty of Jiang Xueqin, an accomplished academic and the host of the YouTube show ‘Predictive History’.

Professor Jiang explains that Trump is desperate for two things: public support and congressional approval of funding of war in Iran. He thinks that such desperation is pushing Trump to launch this senseless, limited invasion of Iran, which will produce two potential results: the successful takeover of Iran’s islands in the Persian Gulf or the islands will become the final resting place of the invading US troops. And, he stresses, either scenario will cause anti-Iranian sentiment to grow. The professor has also predicted huge chaos in world’s economy and the downfall of the ‘American empire’. You can learn about it all here on RT International, or on Bitchute ‘ricksancheztv’.

‘Trump calls on us to go to the Strait of Hormuz and clean up the mess. While his own army is out of the reach of Iranian rockets, the allies have to clean up his sh*t’ – a member of the European Parliament.

In this episode of RT’s ‘Sanchez Effect’ Rick looks at the European Union’s policies with Belgian lawmaker Rudi Kennes. He is one of the few European politicians who is shocked with how the EU’s leaders handle their duties. He agrees with Rick that it can be described in one sentence: ‘shooting themselves in the foot’.

In terms of the war on Iran, he says that it was clear that the country is not going to succumb to the same scenario as Venezuela because Tehran’s leadership had planned for the conflict and geography rules out any ground invasion. Kennes says that despite the EU publicly proclaiming its distance from the war on Iran, many members of the bloc and the UK are heavily involved.

He says it is because the European leadership emerged from industry and now their lobbyists own them, especially military manufacturers.

The turmoil in the Strait of Hormuz has spelled disaster for the bloc.

The recent release of the Epstein files and the media splash it produced have proved this point, but, after all the apologies, is the system itself likely to change? Why does Iran hold all the cards as the conflict turns into a war of attrition? What now as the Israel Lobby’s responsibility for this war is out in the open following Joe Kent’s resignation from the Trump administration? What does this war mean for BRICS and multipolarity? We cover all this and more with Prof. Mearsheimer.
Today, we also heard from Scott Horton, famous American author, director of the Libertarian Institute and host of The Scott Horton Show. He commented on the recent ban on Rick Sanchez’s channel on YouTube, calling the company a ‘monopolistic search engine.’ He also discussed US claims that Iran posed an imminent threat, advising people to remember Washington’s rhetoric before the invasion of Iraq, when the American government used the same playbook.
Olga and Tara sit down with former US Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney to dismantle the “chimera” of America’s two-party system and financial interests driving global conflicts. We explore how identical funding sources ensure that US policy remains unchanged regardless of who wins the election. McKinney breaks down her “upside-down” political philosophy – where the far-left and MAGA find common ground against a centralized “Global deep state.” We also confront the chilling reality of modern warfare: The ongoing use of depleted uranium and why McKinney believes a “low-level” nuclear war is already being waged.

In this episode of RT’s ‘Sanchez Effect’ Rick brings former US army officer Stanislav Krapivnik and a big map of the Middle East. They take a look at the potential outcomes of a possible US ground invasion of Iran, with Donald Trump recently saying that he’s ‘not afraid of’ a second Vietnam. Krapivnik says the best option is impossible - an invasion through the North, via Kurdistan and Azerbaijan. The former officer says that the Kurds have already rejected the idea of getting involved in this mess; while Azerbaijan send humanitarian aid to Tehran, rather than threats of an invasion. Another option is to attack through Iraq and Kuwait – but Krapivnik dismisses this idea, highlighting that Iraqi militia in the region attack US forces 24/7. The final option – could a landing through the Persian Gulf and heavily mountainous area be possible? Krapivnik says yes… if the US drafts one million servicemen and sends them into Iran. Take a look at the big map yourself– here on RT International.

On the latest episode of ‘Sanchez Effect’ we dive into Kenya’s unexpected drama with Russia after a significant number of Kenyan soldiers signed up to fight on the frontlines, stirring up quite the controversy back home. But instead of hurling threats and insults – which seems to be the West’s go-to – Kenya’s top diplomat took the high road and boarded a plane and came to talk to Russian officials. The outcome? A peaceful resolution and the Kenyans are heading back home. No hard feelings. Imagine: diplomacy actually works if you use it.

This might just be the wake-up call the West needs, as it navigates its own mess with Iran that it started after throwing away good-faith attempts at negotiations. And now as Trump acts all surprised at the mess he caused, he comes up with this jaw-dropper: ‘We were shocked’ that Iran targeted US bases in the Middle East! Really, who saw that coming? Anyone paying attention to Iran, perhaps?

The world is now feeling the fallout. The Kenyan Prime Cabinet Secretary reveals that his country is already facing tough times, relying on oil, produce, and fertilizers from the Gulf region – all of which is complicated by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. With reserves dwindling, how long can Kenya hold out? And what other ripple effects are looming? Tune in to find out, only on RT!

Nkrumah knew political independence was only the first step. Economic, cultural, and intellectual freedom remained unfinished tasks. Neocolonialism, he warned, survives in trade imbalances, brain drain, and media control. Total liberation, he said, requires dismantling all systems that keep Africa subordinate. Together with Samia Nkrumah, we honor how her father’s unfinished agenda still calls for action.

There’s a common myth that Africa is overpopulated. Julius Nyerere rejected it: he argued that the real problem is not too many people, but unfair global systems that deny Africans control over their land and resources. Colonial‑era borders, extractive trade deals, and debt traps – not population – create scarcity. Together with Madaraka Nyerere, we examine how his father’s insight dismantles the narrative used to justify external interference in Africa.

Samora Machel saw the USSR as a genuine partner in Africa’s struggle for sovereignty. Unlike the colonial powers, the Soviet Union offered aid without strings – supporting education, infrastructure, and self‑defense.
