Communists say Duma election results are invalid
According to the party's website, United Russia's win was not achieved in an honest and fair way. They've sent their complaint into the commission citing 40 specific violations.
Party leader Gennady Zyuganov says that election irregularities took place in almost all districts.
The Communists have also made public their intentions to file a lawsuit with the Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights.
The party came second in last Sunday's Duma poll, collecting 11.6 per cent of the vote.
