On this show, we cover economics a lot, and one of the big challenges we continually grapple with is finding guests who are versed in economics but who hail from diverse backgrounds.

So, as diversity across business, politics and academia is improving, why is diversity in the discipline of economics lagging so far behind? And as if its reputation couldn’t get any worse, why is that discipline still viewed as the preserve of the stale, pale and male?
