Putin, Macron to discuss Iran deal, Syria in St. Petersburg on May 24-25 – Kremlin
Russian President Vladimir Putin and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron will discuss the situation around the Iran nuclear deal, as well as Syria and eastern Ukraine during a meeting in St. Petersburg on May 24-25, the Kremlin press service said on Friday. The talks will focus on the development of bilateral cooperation and topical international and regional issues, including the situation around the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iran nuclear program, the Syrian settlement and the internal Ukrainian crisis, according to the statement. The French president will pay an official visit to St. Petersburg at Putin’s invitation. Macron will be an honorary guest of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
