Sarkozy holds rally in Paris

Sarkozy holds rally in Paris
With only a week to go before the second round of the French Presidential Election, Conservative contender Nicholas Sarkozy is holding a rally in Paris to muster support. Thousands have gathered to show their support.

He will go head-to-head with Socialist candidate Segolene Royal in the run-off on May 6.

Polls put Nicholas Sarkozy five points ahead of rival Royal.

But both are keen to get backing from the close to 7 MLN French who supported defeated third-placed candidate Francois Bayrou in the first round vote.
