Gazprom head to miss St. Petersburg economic forum

The Head of Russian state gas monopoly Gazprom – Aleksey Miller – will remain in hospital and appears not to be able to attend the economic forum that takes place this weekend in St. Petersburg.

Mr Miller was taken to hospital on Saturday after showing symptoms of a kidney disease. His hospitalisation was a planned one, but complications arose.

Gazprom's press service says his condition is serious but improving.

As some say, Mr Miller's resignation because of the illness is not put in question.
