Chemical storage depot explodes in the U.S.
In Kansas City, a powerful explosion at a chemical storage facility has stared a major fire. A black cloud of smoke rose from the Chemcentral storage unit over the City.

Firefighters tried to fight the blaze initially but moved back as fire threatened nearby rail cars.

Hundreds of people have been evacuated from their homes close to the depot, but no one has been seriously injured.

Chemcentral officials say it is not yet clear what caused the explosion
