Protesters voiced their frustration at the current state of women’s rights at a rally organized by the Solidarity Party of Afghanistan in Kabul on Friday. The demonstrators held placards calling for the emancipation of women and an end to violence. The Solidarity Party says it is highly critical of NATO intervention in the country and its impact on women's rights. The rally was timed to coincide with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25.
