A bus was set on fire in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi on Friday as anti-government protesters rallied to support the opposition leader Raila Odinga. Activist tried to reach the city's airport to welcome the returning Odinga but Kenyan security forces used rifles and tear gas in attempt to stop them.
Odinga has urged his supporters to demonstrate against last month's repeated presidential vote. Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta won 98 percent of the vote with a turnout of just under 39 percent. He had already won elections on August 8, the results of which were subsequently annulled because of “irregularities.”
