Hundreds of students marched in central London, Wednesday, demanding the abolition of tuition fees in the UK. Some of the activists exhibited numerous banners and placards aimed against the Tories' proposed budget plans. At one point during the march, the protesters were met by two hecklers holding a cardboard cutout of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and a placard reading: "Pay a fee if you want a degree." No other major disturbances were recorded, according to reports.
