The build-up to the Day of the Dead, one of Mexico's most important annual holidays, attracted dozens of revellers to Mexico City on Sunday. The event is celebrated throughout Mexico, with people paying their respects to friends and family members who have died. The holiday traditionally takes place near October 31 (All Hallows' Eve), November 1 (All Saints’ Day) and November 2 (All Souls’ Day) with a week of celebrations in the build-up.
