Hundreds of waiters and waitresses from all over Argentina took part in an annual race in Buenos Aires on Saturday to see who is the fastest and most agile. The servers, dressed in uniforms and holding trays with drinks, competed along the Avenida de Mayo for 1.6 kilometers (0.994 miles). Around 400 people took part. The tradition started in 1908, when seven waiters from the La Boca neighborhood organized a race.
