Tear gas & arrests at rally against Haitian govt’s new budget

Protesters clashed with police in Port-au-Prince on Friday after the Haitian government approved the controversial 2018 budget. The protest led to several arrests and the use of tear gas on demonstrators. The protests are part of six planned demonstrations running from October 5 to  October 17, organized by the Coalition of Democratic Organizations (COD) and comprised primarily of opposition figures and parties.
