Police crackdown at Barcelona school during independence referendum

Riot police forcibly removed protesters from a staircase at Pau Claris School in the Sant Marti neighborhood on Sunday, during voting in the controversial Catalonia independence referendum. The officers threw people out of the stations, pulling their hair and kicking them to the ground. The referendum was held by local authorities while the Spanish government and Supreme Court proclaimed it illegal.
