Parents of 43 students missing since 2014 gathered outside the Iguala army facility on Saturday, calling for an investigation into possible army involvement in the students' disappearance. Joined by social activists and members of the College of Ayotzinapa, they started shaking the closed gates of the 27th Infantry Battalion in a sign of protest. Later on, the protesters were seen deploying tear gas and throwing Molotov cocktails towards the gates. Forty-three students from the College of Ayotzinapa went missing on September 26, after being detained by police in Iguala, a town in the state of Guerrero. An independent investigation stated that the Federal Police were involved in the disappearances.
