Some 3,000 protesters from the Philippine islands of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao protested at the gates of the presidential palace at Mendiola Bridge, Manila, Thursday, against rising extra-judicial killings under President Rodrigo Duterte’s ‘war on drugs’. The protest follows increased militarization in rural areas as the war in Marawi and martial law in Mindanao entered its 100th day.
