Activists clashed with city police in Buenos Aires on Wednesday as sacked PepsiCo workers and their supporters marched towards the National Congress building. Demonstrators protested against the closure of a PepsiCo factory and the ensuing dismissals. People headed for the National Congress to talk with the government and resolve the issue, until they were blocked by police, leading to minor clashes. PepsiCo announced the sudden closure of its Buenos Aires factory on June 20 this year, leading to the dismissal of 691 employees.
