Hundreds of people painted themselves as clay figures and walked like zombies in Hamburg as part of anti-G20 protests in the city on Wednesday. The event was organized by the artistic group ‘1000 GESTALTEN’ (1000 Figures). According to group leader Sven Kammerer, as cited by Ruptly, the march was "a symbol for our society and a symbol that they [people] feel excluded from the political process, only look out for themselves, only consume and don't stand for each other." The protest ended with participants tearing off clay-covered clothes to reveal bright-colored garments or naked bodies.
