Brazil police arrest 40 in anti-drug raid

At least 40 people were arrested on Wednesday in anti-drug raids conducted by Brazilian police in the Sao Paulo neighborhood known commonly as 'Crackland'. Dozens of people tried to flee from police, who used firearms and deployed tear gas. Sao Paulo authorities announced that the operation is a part of the government plan to fight illegal drug trafficking.
