Thousands of opposition supporters took part in a peaceful rally in the Albanian capital, Tirana on Saturday, demanding free elections and a technical government to solve the country's political crisis. The leader of Albania’s opposition Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, addressed the crowd. Political opposition forces have been boycotting parliament since February and have called on Prime Minister Edi Rama to step down in favor of the establishment of a technical government. Several opposition parties pledged not take to part in the parliamentary elections in June.
