Thousands joined an anti-government march in Buenos Aires on Friday, on the 41st anniversary of former dictator Rafael Videla's rise to power following a military coup. A huge flow of people marched with banners, placards, and flags, with some seen lighting smoke flares. In the evening, the participants set on fire an effigy of current President Mauricio Macri, dancing around the fire and chanting.

Rafael Videla ruled the country from 1976 to 1981, and was prosecuted for human rights abuses and crimes against humanity, including kidnapping, torture, and murder of political opponents.
