The high-rise Bonn-Center was demolished by 250kg of explosives on Sunday in Bonn, Germany. The 60-meter-high building was constructed in 1969 and was much criticized by residents.
A total of 1,500 holes were drilled into the building to hold the explosives. The building was then blown up at short intervals, starting with the first and second floors, which were then closely followed by the eastern stairwell.
