Thousands of Yemenis took to the streets of Sanaa on Friday to condemn the Saudi Arabian-led coalition blockade. Protesters held banners reading, "The blockade and salary cuts created a famine in Yemen," "seas surround Yemen from many sides and a blockade surrounds Yemen from all sides," and "attacking Yemeni sovereignty and killing the people with a blockade is an American, Emirati, and Saudi crime." The demonstrators also blamed the United Nations and the international community at large for the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Yemen.
