American activists gathered with protesters from the Standing Rock Sioux tribe for a march condemning the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) on Friday. Banners reading “native lives matter,” “water is life,” and “native nations rise” were carried during a procession. Later, the demonstrators erected a traditional tipi and continued the rally around it.
