Up to 26,000 Iraqis left besieged western Mosul in more than a week, AFP reports, while 12,700 people escaped from the battle zone over the past two days alone, as operation against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) terrorists continues in the area. The civilians were filmed outside the city of Tal Afar on Tuesday, heading towards the government-controlled al-Salam refugee camp.
