Syrian Arab Army soldiers have recaptured Ain al-Fijah’s main pumping station in Wadi Barada, which serves a vital water supply for the capital, Damascus. Engineers arrived in the town this week to make repairs on the facility, which was damaged during fighting between the Syrian Army and militants. When the militants had control over the area, they cut supplies to Damascus, leaving more than six million residents without water.
