Clashes between police and protesters erupted in the town of Sanabis in northern Bahrain, as demonstrations against recent executions continue. Hundreds took to the streets following Amnesty International’s call on the authorities to lessen the punishment for Mohamad Ramadhan and Husain Ali' Moosa, who were both sentenced to death in December 2014 for their alleged participation in a bombing in al-Deir, in which a police officer was killed. This follows Sunday’s execution of three Shia men, convicted of killing three police officers in a bomb attack in March 2014.
