Street vendors clash with police in Argentina

Violence erupted in the streets of Buenos Aires on Tuesday, as around 100 protested against the eviction of more than 2,000 illegal street vending stalls. The crowd of protesters blocked off traffic on Rivadavia Avenue, setting on fire dumpsters and throwing stones at police officers. According to police reports three protesters were arrested, while several officers and a photo correspondent were injured.
