A Christmas Market in the German town of Ludwigshafen resumed operations after a 12-year-old boy who was attempting to carry out a bomb attack was arrested. According to sources, he first tried to detonate a bomb at the Christmas market on November 26, but the detonator failed. He tried again on December 5, hiding the bomb in a backpack and leaving it next to the town hall. However, a passerby spotted the suspicious package and reported it to the authorities, who dispatched a bomb squad to perform a controlled explosion.
