Android robot FEDOR, dubbed 'Robo-Gagarin', which is likely to be part of manned Russian space missions starting from 2021, displayed impressive handyman skills in Magnitogorsk, Russia on Thursday. The remotely-operated robot is able to carry out specialized tasks and will eventually be launched into space and put to the test. The FEDOR (Final Experimental Demonstration Object Research) project started in 2014 and was originally conceived as a rescue robot but as the project developed, engineers believed it could be used in various ways.
