Thousands mourn death of leader from India's 3rd-largest party

Thousands of mourners paid their respects to Jayalalithaa Jayaraman, chief minister of Tamil Nadu, a southern Indian state, after the influential politician died of heart attack. The 68-year-old Jayalalithaa, often referred to as 'Amma' (mother) starred in more than 100 movies before she moved into politics in the 1980s, becoming leader of India's third-largest party, All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK).
