Around 1,000 Black Lives Matter protesters joined a Friday demonstration near the Westlake Mall in Seattle under the motto ‘Black Lives Matter, not Black Friday’. The crowd managed to occupy the Zara shop, walking between the clothes stands with placards and chanting. The protesters demanded justice for police brutality victims, denounced racism, and carried anti-Trump signs. They also expressed solidarity with Dakota oil pipeline protesters.
