Thousands took to the streets of Rio de Janeiro to protest against Brazilian President Michael Temer's new education reforms, Monday. Protesters chanted and drummed as they marched, holding a large banner reading "No to Pec241", in reference to name of the education reform bill. One of the demonstrators denounced Temer for organising a 'coup' against former president Dilma Rousseff, stating “he is trying to reduce social rights, especially in education, by imposing his fascist and cruel capitalism."
