Hundreds marched in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday, demanding the resignation of the newly appointed Brazilian president, Michel Temer, and calling for a review of the impeachment of former President Dilma Rousseff. The protesters chanted anti-Temer slogans and held placards reading "Temer out - #NoCoupinBrazil," "Supreme Court, annul impeachment now," and "Come back, Dilma." The event came after the dismissal of the former speaker of Brazil's House of Representatives, Eduardo Cunha, from Congress. Cunha was a key figure in facilitating impeachment proceedings against Rousseff. Brazil has recently seen waves of mass protests against the newly instated government after a majority of senators approved Dilma Rousseff's impeachment trial on August 10.
