More than 1,700 National Guard officers were deployed to help evacuate the locals, with more reportedly on their way and over 5,000 people were forced to spend the night in Red Cross shelters, many having to sleep on the floor, due to a lack of bedding. According to the local authorities, one person is still missing. The water level has reportedly risen up to 160 cm (63 inches) since Friday, and around 200 roads in the region were closed due to the flooding.
