Crowds held a vigil in Chicago's Federal Plaza on Wednesday, to commemorate the first anniversary of the death of Sandra Bland, a black woman who died in her prison cell after being stopped by police for minor offenses. People released lanterns and balloons into the sky, as well as held poetry readings and gospel music performances.
