Striking workers set barricades alight on the two roads leading to the Nogent-sur-Seine nuclear plant, Thursday, as part of France-wide strikes at energy plants and protests against the government's proposed labor reforms. Authorities had to use strategic energy stocks to avoid fuel shortages. The law commonly known as the ‘El Khomri law’, named after French Labor Minister Myriam El Khomri, extends maximum working hours and cuts holidays and has already sparked violent protests across France.
