A rally against an election oversight body turned violent as Kenyan police started to attack the protesting crowds. Hundreds of protesters, mainly opposition supporters, demonstrated outside the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) offices in Nairobi, with some throwing stones at police. Police responded by using batons, tear gas and water cannon against the crowd, with some seen chasing people and repeatedly violently kicking protesters, even those lying injured on the ground.
