Hundreds of people gathered at San Francisco City Hall on Friday after five hunger strikers protesting police brutality against minorities had to be hospitalized. The “Frisco five” are now receiving medical treatment after 16 days of hunger strike.
The so-called “Frisco 5” began their hunger strike on April 21 in response to the fatal shootings of four black and Latino men by San Francisco police in recent years.
