Visitors flock to ancient Mexican city to welcome spring equinox

Hundreds gathered on top of the Pyramid of the Sun in the ancient city of Teotihuacan, Mexico, to welcome the spring equinox on Monday. Tourists and locals climbed to the top of the pyramid to catch the first rays of sun while performing a series of rituals. The spring equinox occurs in the middle of March (on the 20th or 21st) and marks the beginning of spring in the northern hemisphere.
