Russian Patriarch holds service during 1st visit to Brazil

Head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, made his first trip to Brazil on Friday as part of his tour of Latin America. During his three-day visit Patriarch Kirill met Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff at the Alvorada Palace, where they exchanged gifts and discussed several issues including spirituality in modern society and the Syrian conflict. Shortly after the meeting, Patriarch Kirill held liturgy at a Russian Orthodox church in Brasilia.
