A group of right-wing nationalist protesters attacked branches of Sberbank and Alfa-Bank (both Russian banks) in Kiev on Saturday, during an anti-government rally on the second anniversary of the Maidan coup's bloodiest day. As some protesters threw rocks at Sberbank and broke several windows, others with Ukrainian flags managed to break into the Alfa-Bank branch and smashed up its interior with metal bars. Two years ago the Ukrainian capital saw several days of bloody clashes between rioters and police, which climaxed on February 20 when around 100 people were shot dead during a single day.
