11 dead after tornado hits Dallas area

Severe storms and a massive tornado swept through the southeastern city of Rowlett, 35 miles (56 kilometers) south of Dallas, on Sunday. At least 11 people perished and 23 were injured, while around 600 buildings were damaged. The tornado is rated EF4, which in a scale of EF0 to EF5, is classified as violent and intense.
