More than 200 Crimean residents gathered at Yalta embankment to celebrate the end of the blackout on the Black Sea peninsula on Saturday. People marched through the city carrying torches, flashlights and mobile phones with their lights on, celebrating the restoration of energy supplies to the region. Energy supplies were cut to Crimea after four power lines were blown up in the Ukrainian region of Kherson on November 22 in an apparent act of sabotage. It is not yet known who was behind the attack. Crimean prosecutors have already asked the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) to investigate the case.
