Thousands of Antifa activists clashed with German riot police in Leipzig on Saturday when a counter-protest decrying the three announced right-wing demonstrations taking place in the city kicked off. After counter-protesters built and set fire to several barricades, police used their water cannon trucks and bulldozers against the barricades and protesters. Riot police tried to regain control over the area by pushing protesters down the streets. Cars, shops and one bank bureau were damaged by stones during the unrest.
